There are four ways you can pay for DaDesktop:

  1. Public cloud (from 5 EUR a day)
  2. Private server (from 10 EUR a day)
  3. Reseller or volume purchasing (from 1 EUR a day)
  4. On premise
     

Public Cloud

Desktops are charged per day from 5 EUR per day for a simple Linux desktop with 8GB of RAM, 8 core CPU and 50GB of SSD storage.

Each extra 8GB of RAM, 8 cores CPU and 50GB of storage would cost you 5 EUR extra.

Windows machines require an extra 5 EUR a day. If you have your own license you don't need to pay this cost.

NB Daily charge of machines is specified as within 24 hours of starting from midnight, local server time

 

Private Server

If you want to have fixed costs regardless how many desktops you run or resources assigned to a single desktop, you can purchase a whole server.

For example     E3-1260Lv5, 16GB DDR4, 960GB NVMe on  300Mbit/s Unmetered network would cost you 10 USD a day.

In this case you are just limited by the resources of the server.

Reseller or volume discounts

Discounts of up to 80% are available for reseller and volume purchases.

This case is usually for companies planning to:

  1. Integrate the DaDesktop with your product
  2. Resell it
  3. Purchase in high volumes 
     

On-premise

Standard price for on premise deployment is 6 EUR per core.

 

Public Cloud Case Scenarios

Case 1

A person uses an Ubuntu desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, 50GB of storage for 8 hours in one day. 

Total price: 5 EUR

Case 2

A person uses an Ubuntu desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, 50GB of storage for a couple of hours every day for 5 days. 

Total price: 5 days * 5 EUR = 25 EUR

Case 3

  1. A person uses an Ubuntu desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, 50GB of storage for 1 hour
  2. Desktop is deleted
  3. Another desktop with the same configuration is created the same day and used for 1 hour

Total price: 5 EUR

Case 4

  1. A person uses an Ubuntu standalone desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, 50GB of storage for 1 hour
  2. Desktop is deleted
  3. Another desktop with 16GB RAM, 16 CPUs and 100GB storage is created the same day and used for 1 hour

Total price: 15 EUR

Case 5

  1. A person uses an Ubuntu course desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, 50GB of storage for 1 hour
  2. Desktop is deleted
  3. Another desktop by the same participant or trainer with 16GB RAM, 16 CPUs and 100GB storage is created the same day and used for 1 hour

Total price: 10 EUR 

 

Courses

For Public Cloud and Reseller options,  Courses are billed to the Organization Owner based on users who created desktops during the duration of the course.

Trainers

  • If the Trainer gets invited to the course, the Organization Owner will be billed for the course.
  • If the Trainer creates the course, the Trainer will be billed for it.

  • To summarise, the Organization owner of the course created is billed for the course.
