Creating an Organization is normally done with an organisation created with the same name as your username when you register.
However, it may be useful on occasion to create a new Organization, perhaps as a Company name, where there may be a number of users using DaDesktop from one company.
NB Creating Organization is a Super Admin feature only
Creating Organizations in DaDesktop
There are two ways to create an Organization, one (the default) where an organization owner account is also created at the same time, and the second where no organization owner user account is required, eg where this is already created.
Creating Organization and also create organization owner user account
- User email of the account owner is required, alongside a password, and first and last names. Roles can be selected as required. The currency is determined by the portal used, ie dadesktop.com will select EUR by default, dadesktop.cn with specify CNY
- The Organization name is also required, with a code. The code should be kept short, but once set cannot be changed.
- The settings for Allowing course recordings or for publishing course recordings are set for ALL recordings within an Organization. Likewise with the setting for Receiving Promotional Emails. Setting here sets this for the entire organization.
- 'Allow Recordings' determines whether Recordings are available across the whole organization.
- Private servers can be selected if required. Please note a server will needed to be marked 'Private' before it can be selected here.
