For ease of use, it is often requested to have SSH access to DaDesktop machines to make it easier for course participants and trainers to access their Desktops machines from their own laptop or desktop PC. It's understandable that typing commands on a local terminal is often preferred than within a terminal on a remote Desktop.
Although technically possible, we do not permit SSH access in this scenario as this would unduly open up the DaDesktop course machines to significant potential security issues.
A drag and drop file file transfer capability has been added to that files can be easily added from your own laptop or desktop to within the DaDesktop machine. Some requests for full SSH access were because previously a means to transfer files wasn't available, but with this feature now in place makes using DaDesktop even easier.
It should be noted that full QEMU Spice Desktop support is now available on Windows and Linux OS templates so that it's now much easier than previously to copy and paste commands provided on your own local machine to the DaDesktop machine, even when using a Mac or when using non English character sets.
For DDOP - DaDesktop on Premise servers, SSH access is permitted if required.
